Support dates and lifecycles with source and review date

These overviews can be cited in decisions and audits: end of support for Adobe ColdFusion and Lucee, PHP versions and the lifecycles of Linux distributions. Each timeline row gives a date and a source, each page the month of its last check.

The overview for your technology

  • Which Adobe ColdFusion versions still receive security updates? The timeline gives the dates for ColdFusion 2018 to 2025 from Adobe's own publications (As of 2026-10). It also covers the security position and a checklist for operators.

  • Which Lucee versions still receive security updates? According to the Lucee project, Lucee 5.4 has reached its end of life, Lucee 6.2 is the long-term support branch and Lucee 7 the current stable line (As of 2026-10). The timeline gives the dates and the security advisories from the project's own publications, plus a checklist for operators.

  • For PHP 8.2, security updates end on 31 December 2026; for PHP 8.1 and older they have already ended (As of 2026-10). The timeline gives the dates from PHP 5.6 to 8.5 with sources, plus the target versions for an update.

  • LTS support for Debian 11 ended on 31 August 2026. CentOS Linux 7 has been at end of life since 30 June 2024 (As of 2026-10). The timeline gives the dates for Debian, CentOS and Windows Server with sources, and a table lists the Ubuntu LTS versions.

  • Lastenheft, Abnahme, Freigabe, Wartungsfenster: the words on which projects between German-speaking clients and Polish or international teams get stuck. Here they are, with what they mean in practice. Our team speaks German, Polish and English fluently and explains them in the project as well.

  • Lucee is a free, open-source server for CFML, the language of Adobe ColdFusion. It is written in Java, runs in a servlet container such as Tomcat and is led by the Lucee Association Switzerland. This page explains what the two have in common, where they differ and when a switch makes sense.

How to read and cite the overviews

The overviews help when an audit, a customer enquiry or budget planning needs to establish which versions still receive security updates. The timelines contain only dates and sources; our assessment is in separate sections below them.

Each overview contains a timeline with version, event, date and a link to the source. If a vendor gives only a month, the month is shown. The status line at the top of the page gives the year and month of the last check of the sources.

We cite only the vendors' own pages, because Adobe, the Lucee project, the PHP project, Debian and Ubuntu publish their dates themselves.

When you cite an overview, give the title of the page and its status.

If an overview shows that your version no longer has support, these situation pages will help:
